Behind the Scenes: About Videographer Christina Medrano

Christina Medrano grew up playing basketball, but it wasn’t until the end of her high school career that she realized something was missing: She had little footage of herself playing the game. 

“I realized how the trajectory of my life would’ve changed had I had some [film],” Medrano said. 

Influenced by this, Medrano set out to help others. She began traveling around Texas, making highlight reels for athletes in a variety of sports. 

“I fell in love with how much I was able to capture and how much these moments could change and alter the future of these young athletes,” Medrano said. “It made me realize how the end of one calling brought me into the purpose of another.”

From that point on, Medrano worked hard to develop her craft, and the journey taught her a lot.  

There are so many times in this career and life you must choose to bet on yourself regardless of what the outside opinions determine. The stillness you are able to maintain throughout the chaos will determine how far you are able to go,” she said.

She also noted, “Choosing this career very early in my life forced me to truly understand the meaning of faith and loyalty. A lot of the things I went through as an early entrepreneur are all things God has shown me that go far beyond just the lens; it’s all part of the plan.”

In Sideline Entertainment’s newest film, “One Family Two Sidelines,” Medrano was responsible for capturing the action from the north side end zone and filming day-after interviews. 

When she’s not filming, Medrano is often running or working out at the gym. On her off time, she’s usually with family, “throwing down some carne asada, talking about the

Cowboys or celebrating a birthday of one of the many cousins I have,” stated Medrano.
